Well, tomorrow is the model show held by IPMS Brampton at St Ives. It's a nice little without the hassle of wondering whether to enter anything into the competitions.
Spent the afternoon between packing models for display on the club stand, playing with Kyran on the Wii and start cooking dinner (Mmmmm BBQ ribs). Had to do a little repair on my Walker Bulldog tank, one of the tools fell of at the last show and I forgot to glue it back on. But that's the risk of doing these shows.
Must check through my paints, glues, etc. and see if there is anything I need to get tomorrow. Will take the Bradley to work on whilst I'm there during a quiet moment.

Recently Completed Builds
Over the few months, I have completed a few projects which have been sitting around my workshop. So here's a few photos of them with a little info and a link to the gallery pages on my website for them.
Panzer VI Tiger I mid. prod.
This is a Tamiya 1/35th scale kit I picked up second-hand at a show. The hull had the main structure made up with the etched Zimmiret added to it. The colour scheme is for tank 131 based in Normandy during July 1944.
Challenger II MBT Dozer
This is a 1/72nd scale kit produced by Trumpter. It builds up without any trouble but only comes with one set of markings. They also produce the same kit in 1/35th scale.
"Willst du mich zum Esel machen?"
This is a diorama I built of a captured Soviet KV1 tank being re-painted into German colours and marking. Humour was added to the scene of the mule braying at the German tank commander, hence the German phrase above which is similar to the English phrase "Are you making an Ass out of me?".
There is plenty more of my completed models on my website along with a list of un-built kits waiting to be started on. This is a long list too.

Black Buck One WIP
This is a project that I started to plan a couple of years ago.
The project finally kicked off a few months back once the mounting system for the aircraft was worked out. The kits used are the Airfix 1/72nd scale Vulcan B Mk2 and the Revell/Matchbox Victor K2. Both models are built in-flight with the Vulcan being re-fueled by the Victor. This has been on hold for a month or so for now to allow other projects to be done.

Sammy Swindell's Sprint Car
Here is a project that's nearly finished. All of the building of the model has been done with just some weathering required.
The kit is by Revell (US) and is in 1/24th scale of the car that Sammy drove in 1997. A brief run down of the build is this. Built out of the box, all chrome plating except the wheels was stripped. The spoilers were redone with Alclad "Polished Aluminium" and the rest was painted. Went together okay, except for a few awkward assembly bits. otherwise an okay kit.
I'm making two display bases for this model. A small one for displaying at home and a larger one for displaying at shows with two other cars being built by a couple of friends.

Okay, the base has been made up to the point of final sanding prior to giving a couple of coats of primer. This will be happening tonight after this post.
The base is made from a piece of MDF with the wall cut out from a piece of Foamlux. The track surface is car body filler (Isopon P38), but there is a wood version from Ronseal too I also use. The track surface will be sanded to represent the look of a clay track which has been rolled. So here is a few more photos.

Well, I'm here now!
So, here I am.
I've come over to the Blogging side of things. Why? Because it's easier then updating the Workshop pages on my website.
After some thinking over the last few months, I decided this would be the best path for me to take for my build projects as they progress. Then once they're finished, onto my website they go.
